Muno says, "Happy Birthday!"

Last week was fun and amazing. Finnegan had his 2nd birthday and for his gift I decided to try my hand at making my own pattern from scratch. I made him Muno, his favorite character from the show Yo Gabba Gabba! He loved it! I'm planning to post a PDF of my pattern as soon as I decipher my notes and get them typed up.

New fun things

What a crazy year it's been. And once again I've been terribly neglectful of my blog. However, I have been much inspired by so many cool bloggers out there in the craft world that I may pick this up again.

Lately I must especially thank Candace at CraftyDaisies for the awesome Embroidery lessons. It's been so thrilling to follow along and learn something new.

In other upcoming holiday fun here are some Halloween goodies based on this Easy Oreo Truffle recipe that I modified.

Out Here Having Fun...

So we've had a busy couple of months. Connor turned 4 at the end of July and this month he has started Pre-school two days a week. He has so much fun and cries when I come to pick him up because he just wants to stay and play with all his new friends!

Finn got to go swimming for the first time and he had fun just relaxing and floating around the pool. He's sitting up like a pro now at just over 7 months and my head is spinning at how fast the time is going by!

Kyla's having a great time in 7th grade at school. Congratulations to her for winning the ASB spot in her advisory. She's also taking Dance and Musical Theater classes for extra credit this year. It's amazing watching her growing up into a young lady, admittedly a bit scary as well. She was the queen of the fish this year on her camping trip with my aunt and uncle. I'm so proud to see what a well rounded childhood she is getting to experience. We are planning to go along on next years trip since we feel like we're just missing out on so much fun!

We're gearing up at work for a busy holiday season this year. I wish I had more time and desire to do more sewing at home personally. We've been having fun lately working on some projects for the house. We built a new shed this spring and have been working on organizing that.

Today i felt a little chill on the breeze. Fall is coming and I can't wait! I love the holidays and getting to spend time with family, getting cozy, burning candles, cooking, decorating... ahhhh i can almost smell the pine! now that's a scary thought!

Missing My Girl

My daughter has been gone since July 5th on a camping trip with my aunt and uncle at Buck's Lake in northern CA. I know she's having a great time. We went swimming in my aunt's pool today with my mom since she is house sitting for them and it just wasn't the same without my little mermaid there to liven things up. Connor misses her too. This is a shot of them playing in the little backyard pool at my mom's house on July 3rd. I bet she'll be a brownie and have grown 6 inches by the time she gets back on the 21st.

baby peanut

so we had an early ultrasound done and we have a baby peanut that is officailly due on February 2nd 2006. gosh it seems so far away, but i'm sure it will be upon us in no time at all. Then I will be saying "where did the time go, just yesterday it was a peanut and now it's a watermelon!"
